IT is
perhaps the most important practical tools for Globalization.
IT
creates new discipline and jargon of its own. Planning, feasibilities,
design, development, implementation, system support, management of
databases, computer based systems, applications, software, hardware,
network, and more are affecting the life of ordinary person directly or
indirectly. Buying, selling, transporting, storing, converting,
inquiring and retrieving of information are parts of the days to day’s
activities for an ordinary person. IT may transfer many countries from a
backward to a modern stage at relatively low cost. Many not industrial
countries may have the foundation to develop itself without the need to
have heavy industry. IT is indeed a great opportunity for many
countries.
InterConsult21’scale
for IT varies from -5 (for a City without any form for IT) to 5 (for a
City with very advanced IT including the existence of state of the art
telecommunication and wireless technology).
